Just a short and personal tribute to a great friend and brother-in-law who was also a confidente and (unpaid!) advisor whenever needed.
I will truely miss our chats about all sorts and everything over the last 30 years or so, from late evenings when he was waiting to taxi the kids he loved so much or away on family holidays and sat with a glass of something nice.  Always so well informed - for which we can blame CNN amongst others - it was great to chat / debate (or listen) , i can imagine he would be just the same person in the office.

Generous beyond measure there was often a surprise trip to a concert or sporting event (tickets for family members to many of the 2012 Olympics events a case in point) and never a mention of anything in return!

Heres raising a glass of red to you my old friend - will miss you more than you would have allowed yourself to accept, perhaps that is a true reflection of a humble and genuine friend, a true privilege to have known you for such a large part of my life.  Say Hi to Jumbo and Wol (and Bazyl), our love will always remain for you all.
